The Benefits Of An African Social Network

By Jeannie Chapman

The African social network offers many benefits to people who use it in the right way. Of course, there are people who also want to use these networks for other purposes just like everyone to keep in contact with their friends. In recent times, there has been debate as to whether some networks have been healthy psychologically.

This is also a great way to keep in touch of what is going on in terms of media and technology. Africa was always a step behind with this sort of thing, but with applications like Facebook, twitter and the likes, people are able to know about certain gadgets as they come out. They are then able to find out where to find out more information.

Your client wants to get to know the person behind the profile and this is the whole point of using social media to draw in more clients. You will also want to use a good mix of business with your personal life. It does not mean that you have to reveal everything about yourself. Usually the 80/20 rule applies where 20% personal information is a requirement.

People still love social media as a form of keeping in contact with their friends and family members, but some people will take this overboard and sit on these networks all day. For people who see friends' photos, it can be a little off putting. In fact this can cause people to close and deactivate their accounts. This is especially damaging amongst the youth.

There are more and more networks starting up all the time, and the best thing is to choose something that suits you because you may end up on the computer all day. Some of them are not going to be suitable depending on what you are doing. You may be looking for something more sociable and you may also be looking for something more businesslike.

There are specific networks that are more appropriate for business and then there are those which people will prefer to use on a more personal level. These would be great for those who want to keep in contact with families and friends. Of course, there are those who spend all day online, so you have to know when to draw the line.

People in Africa are finding that they are keeping up to date with the ways of the world just by following social media networks. It is a lot more difficult to buy an expensive newspaper from overseas. This is a good resource, but it is not up to date. You will find that you will get up to the date information from the various networks and this is the difference.

To sum up, the African social network is something that will benefit you if you are using it in the right way. More and more businesses report that their sales have risen in the last couple of years just because of the way they use these networks, so it is definitely something to take into consideration if you are in this position.
