In accordance to the design by nature, human beings are very sociable species. They were not made to live in solitude, and in fact, humans crave the companionship of another similar individual. Due to this design, people rarely go out alone. Instead, they go in pairs or groups, as the more are indeed the merrier.

In connection to this behavior, people often decide to meet in areas that are accessible for the greater population. Public spaces often fit in the popular rendezvous category. Examples of such locations are town squares, parks, plazas, beaches, stadium theater seating, and the like. In these areas, it is fairly easy to meet up with old friends and snag new ones. All of these places aim to provide for that sense of community that everyone seem to crave.

One of the essence of these common places is that it allows one, despite of vast differences, the right to pass through such areas. While they are good, the fact that they are open to everyone makes them all the more dangerous. They just might become a new spot for evildoers. To prevent such negative instances, one should be very careful when in these spots.

They also become the favorite hubs for artists. In spots like these, an artist will find it easy to pick a subject for his latest masterpiece. Some even showcase their works in places like these, much to the amusement of the general public. Street musicians also abound in these areas, providing world class entertainment integrated in everyday living.

Aside from being beneficial for the advocates of music and the arts, they are also perfect for activists and protesters. These common areas allow them to exercise their rights and their freedom. This also doubles as the perfect venue to raise the general awareness of a certain topic. With all the people going in and out, these groups will be able to reach out to quite a number of people.

These shared venues also provide entertainment for people from all walks of life. You can come to such locations to spend a whole day of fun with the ones you love. Theme parks are full of rides that humans of all ages are sure to enjoy. Nature parks appeal to naturalists to enjoy a serene day out in perfect weather. You can also enjoy while getting the perfect tan at the beach.

Even though most of these places are open to people, some of them cannot be really regarded as being totally for public consumption. Utilities such as theaters, stadiums, and shopping malls are often regarded as semi public structures. They are so called because they are easily accessible yet everyone who has to go in are bound by certain rules. Activities that are inappropriate are also not allowed in these areas.

Stadiums are like open air movie houses. They also have very wide screens where the people can watch in detail the events that are on going, such as a soccer game. It also has rows after rows of chairs I accordance to the seating capacity of the structure.

They also have so many seats available, rows and columns that allow the public to be able to sit down quite comfortably. But, as they play host to the public, they also are prone to damages. Since replacing them can be quite expensive, they are restored back to what they have been.
