Planning a wedding can be a stressful task that any bride or groom may experience. However, this should not always the case. Since there are many components that any couple may encounter throughout the process, finding the best planner, catering service, gown, the venue and others must be taken into consideration. Other things to decide is about the right cake to use. Actually, there are symbols that any cake brings and slicing is a good start for both couples.

Making a great option will depend on your likes and dislikes. Of course, you want to pick the best for your wedding and the only way to do that is to determine first your wants agreed by both partners. But today, the toppers usually show the passion, hobbies and even the occupation of the couple. Some also prefer to have flowers on top instead of figurines.

Each cake comes in several types depending on their favors or cupcakes or a frosted one. You can choose from white cakes to colorful ones. But traditionally, white ones are mostly the chosen one including decoration and icing varieties such as butter cream, almond, strawberry, and chocolate. Sometimes, choosing smaller cakes is efficient in terms to its cost. Frosted cakes are also quite popular due to its cream.

The slicing ceremony also shows a vital symbolism. Traditionally, it is only the bride who cuts the cake since it symbolizes fertility. But nowadays, both the couples will cut the cake and share them among guests and visitors. Cutting a bit of a layer also symbolizes union, promise and love for each other.

As you see, there are many meanings of having a cake during the reception. It seems that without it the ceremony is incomplete. Make sure to know and understand the real symbolism of having this component to this celebration. Although people are living in a modern world, but the meaning still remains forever.

This tradition is still present as of this day. Sometimes, choosing the right option is time consuming and stressful because of so many options when it comes to the taste, flavor, baker and price. That is why, before indulging yourself to a decision, research is important and the key to finding the best one for your special day.
