Divine Truths From The United Church Of Christ Dewey

By Brenda King

Christians who do not find time to go to church are harming themselves. By staying out of this, they create an opportunity for Satan to bring them all kinds of teachings that contradict the word of God. In their spiritual idleness, Satan can lead their hearts to places where the truth is distorted. This is why the United Church of Christ Dewey has pledged to continue proclaiming the name of Jesus and the benefits of serving him.

One of the most important teachings to hear about Jesus is that He is the Son of God. This is the greatest fact and it is unaccepted by antichrists and religions that oppose Christianity. The Bible makes it clear that he was at the time of creation when God made the statement saying let us create man to be like us. In the New Testament, this fact is written in plain words in John 3:16.

Jesus made statements that linked His relationship with God. There were times when he often said 'My Father' to his disciples when he was referring to God. His statement in John 6:38 also points to the fact that he came from heaven to do the will of God, his father.

In John 8:12, Jesus declared himself as the light of the world. Churches everywhere in Dewey, AZ need to center their teachings on Christ because doing so enables the members to avoid falling out of God's grace. Unfortunately, several gatherings nowadays do not uphold Christ as their message. They do whatever they like and lead their members to utter confusion.

This teaching is stressed at the church in Dewey, AZ because of its importance. The leaders of the congregation prepare messages on the topic and the choirs also render songs to stress the issue. As the Light of the world, it implies that there is no other source of spiritual truth. Following the light also makes believers to be lights themselves as they bring others to the knowledge of God.

Another fact to know about Jesus is that He is the bread of life. In John 6:35, Jesus assures his followers that anyone who eats of him shall never be hungry. Jesus was not talking about physical hunger when he said this for he knew that physical bread was not all that mattered in life. Instead, he meant that his followers should partake in his word for the edification of their souls.

It is not good for any ministry to withdraw from letting the members know that Christ is interested in taking care of all their challenges. This is because he himself said in the hearing of everyone that he is the good shepherd who gives his life for his sheep. This means that following Jesus gives peace of mind since Christ promises to calm the storm.

There are more teachings about Jesus that man should know to follow him without wavering. Sometimes, the time to search deep into the scriptures is lacking so the presence of pastors becomes important. This is why it is necessary to attend a living church such as the ones in Dewey, AZ where the truth is continuously upheld.
