Spiritual Tools To Live A Better Life

By Paul Nelson

We all believe that in order to combat stressful situations from our everyday lives, we must not only strengthen our physical power but also our spiritual power. Giving yourself a time to ponder about things will help you become aware of your true self. Here are some spiritual tools for your everyday living.

Encountering complicated situations and not knowing not to do will surely knock you out. Unfortunately, some people decided to give up and end their lives. This common phenomenon nowadays especially in our modern society has affected lots of young people. Their common outlet for their negative feeling is the social media.

We all know that posting your disappointment and negative emotions on social media is not a good habit. Instead of receiving thoughtful advices, you would just receive random reactions from your friends and some strangers. This practice will not help you solve your problems. Talking it out with your parents instead might possibly help but some parents would ignore the difficulties of their children because they believe that these are just petty problems and are not worth their time.

This most important aspect of our functioning will change the way we perceive on things. If your boss gave you unachievable deadlines and your family is now constantly asking for your salary, then having an emotional breakdown will not help you pacify these pressures. Go for a walk, treat yourself, spend some time on a hilltop and evaluate your values.

It will encourage you to always dwell with the biblical teachings. In making every day decisions, we must base it on what we believe is right and not based on our own understanding. It will serve as a solid foundation to stop us from sinking. Being reprimanded by your boss, not submitting your reports within the given deadline, failing in an exam is not a good experience.

These things like contentment, genuine love, and genuine happiness are only obtained when you try to look at the brighter side of life. The happenings around you only reflect on how you react with it. Reacting with positivity will most likely improve the mood of your surroundings.

Positively dealing with your boss will lighten up his or her mood. On the other hand, arguing with him or her will ruin his or her day and the negativity you have shown will bounce back to you. That is why the first tool is to learn to love the people around you. Showing them care will allow them to give back the care they have received. Second is to love yourself.

You should set a limit because of the fact that your abilities are also limited. Otherwise, you will become greedy of achievements and become envious of other people. Third is to pray often. Prayer is the most powerful way to heal you from stressful situations. We have a prayer answering God and thus, you should not worry about anything.

Fourth is to be mature enough. Immaturity will worsen every situation you encounter and will surely put you into trouble. That is why, you have to face these stressors as graceful as you can and smile every day. Being mature means your emotions do not depend on the emotions of everyone. You should be independent from the drama of the world and live your own life happily.
