My yoke is easy and my burden is light are the two single most important statements used in the Gospel of Matthew to encourage those who are going through tough times in this life. Many people have asked themselves how do I start taking to God all problems overtime. The sad thing is, people are still asking the same question over and over again, and that is okay.
There is no problem in the world that does not have a solution. There are problems that we can solve on our own, but there are just those that you cannot solve on your own no matter how hard you try. There comes a time when you have so many questions, with few or no answers.
In any case, no matter how hard the situation may be, you need to know that God is always there in moments of trouble and depressions. You need to have the conviction that God is able to help before you can take your troubles to him. You cannot approach the Supreme Being if you have the conviction that He cannot be of help to you.
You need to know that God has given you the power to find solutions to the problems that you have. You therefore need to use your wisdom as well as your own judgment to arrive to a solution, which can help you become a better person. There are many problems, and solving them on your own is plain impossible, which is why you need help from God to be able to solve the problems.
Once you have the conviction that God can help and have the faith that he will, analyze your problems. It is okay to have problems by the way because this is part of life. So take time to think about what it is that you are going through.
You need to have faith that he can help you get out of a situation before He actually does. It is your faith that can heal and restore you, so you need to build and strengthen the faith first before you can take it to God in prayer. You cannot eat lemon and claim it taste like mango, the same way you cannot pray and doubt God.
In as much as God knows what you need even before you ask him, talk to him about it. He is not busy for sure, but He wants to hear you tell him the desires of your heart before He can help. He says you call to Him, and He will show you great and marvelous things that you do not know.
Remember one thing; Jesus said that all those who are weary and heavily loaded with trouble and sin should go to him. Take your time to learn from him, and never forget that His yoke is light and burden is easy. He is a perfect help in time of trouble.
