The Benefits Of Attending Clergywomen Spiritual Retreats Midwest

By Daniel Hall

Retreat, like the word suggests, is an event or an experience made to return to a source or regain an experience. Such experiences are fulfilling when the quest to know more of God is prioritized. Individuals and groups are often seen in secluded areas for this reason. Some group retreats like the clergywomen spiritual retreats Midwest are known to be life-changing.

Such retreats help one to encounter God. Even though one may have been ordained, it is still likely to have missed the track along the way. Some cares of this world can make one lose interest for God, but this should not be the case among those who stand as intercessors between man and God. It is a nice thing to crave for spiritual refilling when one perceives emptiness in the spirit.

Clergywomen retreats have a way of making the clergy want more of God. Without such retreats, they may always be occupied with one form of service/duties or the other. It is necessary for spiritual leaders to take some time to learn from others sometimes and not just to be in the place of giving out all the time. Some of the things they can learn afresh include revelations on particular portions of the scripture, how to tend the flock, and how to hear more from God.

A retreat is an opportunity for people to get back to their first love. Some clergy women lost their first love after marriage, child-bearing, political appointments, and getting a job. If one has been called for full-time service in the church, it is important for the one to keep every other thing aside. This consciousness can be regained during a retreat.

In addition, attending retreats will make your priorities to be straightened out. Clergies could miss their main duties to pursue worldly desires such as grades, work and political appointments instead of focusing on God's call for their lives. For this reason, they need to set apart some time to be alone and be free from these distractions.

Some clergy women find it difficult to do certain things such as fund raising and delegating responsibilities. These two tasks are very important for a church to grow and for a pastor to be more successful in her ministry. If you are one of those who does not know how to do any of these, going to a gathering where others of your type will be present is an opportunity to be more equipped for the service.

If you have never had the time to play games as a pastor, a retreat with other clergy women could bring you the opportunity. It could be a ground to learn new games, exercise yourself, talk about politics and disconnect yourself from your usual environment. Such a gathering can give more strength to get back to work.

If your aim is to encourage others and express your God-given talents, the clergywomen retreats could be a place to do so. Even though you may not be paid a ransom for your service, you will get the satisfaction of impacting the lives of God's servants. It is rewarding to be an instrument in such gatherings.
