Getting The Message Out There With Fabric Church Banners

By Lila Barry

The aim of almost every church is to increase their membership and spread the good news about the gospel. Fabric church banners are convenient and practical for use as advertisers or labels for the buildings. Most churches use these in combination with other means to accomplish these aims.

Advertising on a Banner is not a new phenomenon. The use of these advertising mediums dates back to hundreds of years ago. The fact that they have remained popular since their inception is a firm indicator that they will remain pertinent for many years despite the trend to convert to a digital environment.

This type of banner is utilized by churches to accomplish a number of advertising tasks. They may be placed indoors to decorate the inside of the church building or to illustrate Biblical scenes. They are often used externally to advertise church events such as conventions and gospel concerts. Sometimes they are used to inform the public of the regular services that are held weekly.

The interior of churches also benefit from the multi-faceted features of these advertisers. They are frequently used to coat the inside walls. This is a savvy way to cover bland walls or to mask flaws in the walls that can distract worshippers during services. The colours of the cloth based wall coverings are often strategically elected to compliment the season such as Easter or Christmas. Sometimes Bible verses or drawings of Biblical scenery are displayed on them. The aim for using these is often to help worshippers to focus on highlighted aspects of the faith.

The flexibility of these type of advertising tool is one of the features that makes it so attractive to church groups. They can be stored for re-use by being folded and placed in almost any storage area. Additionally they can be adjusted for reuse as the need changes. If, for instance a particular service was held in a particular year and is being repeated in the current year, the banner can be painted over to change the date and re-used.

The ease with which they can be manipulated makes installation a breeze. They tend to be light which makes it easy to lift and spread them. It is also easy to tack them onto the mounting surface. Strings may be used or commercial tacks and if preferred, nails.

Churches that are operating on a strict budget gravitate towards this type of banner. What makes them particularly inexpensive is their flexibility. Since the advertisers can be re-used several times, money is saved. This money can be redirected to other well needed areas such as outreach, the welfare of congregation members or building maintenance.

Efficiency is fast becoming a major concern in churches around the world today. The job of spreading the word is done efficiently with fabric church banners. They are easy to use, manipulate and organized to suit a variety of purposes within the congregation.
