By Tammie Caldwell

Every year the CIAA garners plenty of excitement for fans, alumni, and college students. During and after games, especially games where a favorite team has won, there is a lot of celebrating. One thing to look forward to is the amazing 2016 CIAA parties that will be had. Some of these will take place in sports bars, or dining establishments. Others will take place in homes. If you want your party to be a hit, there some helpful tips to follow that will help ensure that it is.

Utilize themed adornments. Contingent upon the season and the game being played, there are huge amounts of adornments available with sporting subjects. These are perfect for the sort of gathering you are having as visitors enter they will see the majority of the games themed layout. This will help to set the tone for the gathering.

You will also need paper goods for your get together. Consider buying them in the colors of your college. Everyone will instantly see that you are filled with team spirit. They will also know which team you are rooting for. Take the excitement to a higher level when you amp things up with the colors of your school.

Keep your guest list to a manageable level. A party can easily get out of control if too many guests are invited. Limit your guest list to only those that you know well. Do not allow uninvited guests to attend, and do not let guests invite others to tag along. This can easily end in trouble for you, your guests, and your property. Be safe and make sure that you know each person who enters.

You may very well have some guests at your party who are under the age of 21. If this is the case, it is up to you, as the host to keep alcoholic beverages out of their hands. If you fail to do this, you could end up with not only a criminal complaint against you, but also a lawsuit. You do not have to drink in order to have fun. Have soda, water, and non alcoholic punch on hand for those who are under 21, and those who choose to avoid alcohol.

Serve finger snacks. Finger snacks are super easy to eat, particularly at big get-togethers. You will probably will not have a large enough dining area for everyone. Therefore, finger snacks bode well. Chips, popcorn, finger sandwiches, and hot wings are always a great decision. Treats, and little cakes are likewise superb foods for these sorts of gatherings. Visitors will enjoy having a wide selection of food choices.

If the game is being televised, everyone will want to watch. If you don't have a large enough television screen, consider calling one of those weekly rental places to get one. You can also rent a projector for even better viewing. This lets everyone get in on the fun of watching the game.

Keep everything you have just learned in mind for your next party in order to help your occasion be a big winner. An effective social occasion is one that is both charming, and safe. A decent host knows how to discover a harmony in the middle of fun, and responsibility. Make your gatherings the sort that are never forgotten and looked upon affectionately. Before long word will get out that you are a superb host, who tries their hardest to see to it that visitors are agreeable, and cheerful. Obviously one last tip is to verify you appreciate your gathering too.
