Ordering Personalized 50Th Anniversary Napkins

By Tammie Caldwell

When it comes to special occasions, many individuals like to express their creativity and provide special items to their guests to commemorate the day. Most times these products will be functional, yet attractive enough to also serve as a unique party favor or sentimental keepsake. There are quite a few features that may be fully customized when ordering 50th anniversary napkins or the like.

These paper products are used for both food and beverage purposes, and many people like to keep personalized items as keepsakes of an event. Perhaps one of the biggest inconveniences would be to not have enough of them to serve the needs of all guests throughout the duration of the party. The general rule of thumb to avoid such a situation is to order three per person expected to attend.

While it may seem like a simple task to place an order for these things, but there are actually a few choices that need to be made. These include which size to purchase, which color to choose, whether or not to go with embossing or specialized textures, and of course, what is to be printed on them. Each of option selected helps to create a complete uniquely designed item for the occasion.

The primary thing that must first be decided is which of the four styles will be required for this particular event. For cocktails, drinks and served appetizers, the 5" beverage product is usually best. Self service and dessert buffets are often better off with the 6.5" luncheon size items set upon them.

For actual sit down meals, the dinner option, which is about an 8.5", is generally the best choice because it will be used more frequently. Those who wish to do something a little different might choose to use what is called a guest towel, which is still made of paper but is folded into a 4.5" x 8.5" rectangle for a special look. Many sites will offer bundles with various style combinations.

The printed inscription, usually consisting of details such as the honorees' names, the date and type of celebration, is a huge part of customization. Other things that might be added or used are monograms, embellishments, symbols or special quotes. Lettering and designs may be done in regular inks or in foils which will provided a bit of metallic shine.

The overall look can be made even more memorable and unique by using special layouts and designs. Some of these are understated like simply adding a logo or symbol above the inscription, while others are rather elaborate and encompass the entire piece. There are numerous ways in which all the available options could be combined to create specialized items.

Choosing whether to have straight, die-cut or rough edges is yet another way to make this type of item look special. Other selections that might need to be made include picking between smooth or coined borders, facial quality or semi-crepe textures, and the paper thickness. It is the process of combining all of these choices that allow the individual to use their creativity to design a beautiful and functional product.
