A lion doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep. Game Of Thrones, George R.R. Martin
We live in a pretty rough world.
Each and every time somebody rises in this world there are 100 wolves making an attempt to bring him or her down. They come out in packs with their piercing sharpened teeth looking for techniques to destroy anything they can sink into... and often, they really are pretty successful in doing it. It's horrible what happens to people nowadays who are trying to do something in this world. It doesn't matter if it's positive even, the wolves will always find a way. I suspect this is the way that it's usually been? Maybe it'll always be this way.
But we need a new type of hero.
We need a lion who truly does not concern itself with the views of those sheep who have never stepped into and failed in the arena. That's the type of hero we need. Not someone that was born great, but a woman or man who built themselves from the ashes in the abyss and who will consistently take a stand for what they truly believe in and what they adore.
Wouldn't that give the people something to root for? I think as a society we are obsessed with perfect figures - if that be a body or a personality. We idealize this concept of perfection and yet there actually is no such thing. What we really need is someone who admits imperfection and celebrates it. And, in spite of that imperfection, strives to grow each day and bring light into the world.
We actually need someone who will rise above all the rubbish and take a stand for something greater than just cash, sex, drugs, and so on. We need an ordinary man or woman - ready to be extraordinary in faith, love, and compassion.
