How To Have A Beautiful Wedding Reception Ohio

By Jordan Schmidt

Big decisions come at nuptial time. Where to have the ceremony and wedding reception Ohio is tops on the list. There are many choices to consider. You want a memorable place to conduct the ceremony, then greet family and guests. You want the perfect venue for your special day.

When the hunt is on, at the top of the list for spring and summer weddings are local gardens or someone's glorious back yard. It could even be yours. You will love the flowers and foliage in the background. They are decor in and for themselves and you won't have to add much else. Price may be a factor, but it will be a most memorable setting and well worth the monetary outlay.

Another option is a local authority center, municipal town hall, or other public building for hire. They usually have large, if not plain, meeting rooms. It would take some effort to spruce a space up, but it can be done. If your wedding is not particularly formal, this is a viable choice. Look at them all before making a decision to select just the right room for your needs.

Educational institutions are also on the table for any reception, particularly if the couple attended the college in question and has pleasant associations of falling in love there. It can be romantic, indeed, if this is the case. There is probably a lovely chapel on the campus for the ceremony, making this choice one of great convenience.

If these are not to your liking, you can turn to the local college or university. Educational institutions all have large ceremonial halls. If the bride and groom met at a particular place, this would add a nice romantic dimension to the reception. The wedding could take place in the campus chapel, adding to the suitability of this choice.

A novel idea is to use the open area of an art gallery. This is a sophisticated option--quite classy over all. The artwork on the walls will be a nice complement to the festivities. People will praise the innovative and chic choice. The art does lend a certain tone, however, that you will have to follow with the table decor.

More traditional couples look for a big restaurant with a banquet room or a local hotel with similar space. They are practically designed with receptions in mind. You can alter the space to match your number of guests. In the winter, this is a cozy and warm option as the outdoors is not suitable at this time of year. You can make any space in a hotel your own with proper decor. It is like using a blank slate upon which artistic creation is made.

For something really different, see if there is a unique mansion or castle in your area. Now this would be really different to be sure. An unusual setting makes for a romantic and memorable day. A castle will certain make the bride feel like a princess and the guests her attendants. Choosing the perfect venue takes time and effort, so give it its due and you will have a very special day.
