Why Womens Ministry Is Important

By Amy Mitchell

Every stage in life comes with its own peculiarities and challenges. Sometimes, there is need for people who have been in your shoes and can tell exactly how it hurts to step into your situation for help. With their experiences, they can teach you to come out strong and become a better person. This is what the womens ministry in Greenwood, MS wants to accomplish in the lives of spinsters, widows, widowers, bachelors, infants, orphans and new wives. Members of this ministry do the needful in order to put smiles on the faces of those who are worried.

The youths in Greenwood, MS have a chance to improve the quality of their lives by following the steps of the women group in the area. The group is committed to helping them out in several ways such as educating them on the dangers of alcoholism, drugs and engaging in criminal activities. They draw instances from the past to show the youths that virtues such as hard work and patience are important in life.

The role of the ministry in helping fathers cannot be overemphasized. Sometimes, the women teach themselves some basic household skills such as tailoring and soap making to help the men and their families. They also help to resolve crisis in a family where a woman and her husband are not united.

The aim of the organization is also to ease the pain of the widows and widowers. They make out time to visit them and give some words of encouragement. In most cases, they try to do what the dead spouse normally does when he or she was alive. They can take the children to school, bath the infants and do some cooking.

Some of the children also enjoy these benefits as they grow older. They receive benefits such as scholarships, bursaries, grants and loans. Even when they have no physical present, their prayers can go a long way in helping the child. As some of the ministries form Non Governmental Organizations, they attract philanthropists, the government and other important groups to come to the rescue of the less privileged ones.

The right thing for spinsters to do when they face the challenges of getting married is to consult the older ones who have been in their position. This is why the ministry is always concerned with helping unmarried ladies throughout their courtship before they wed. In the seminars they organize, they give ladies insights on what they can do to remain attractive to their men. They proffer answers to questions that boys and girls ask in relationship.

In case some spinsters eventually make the wrong choice in marriage, the women come stronger to see that their troubles are minimized. For example, if the men are not capable of providing their needs, the ministries teach them some skills such as tailoring and baking so that from their activities, they can sell some of their materials for income to help the family.

The group also has the welfare of its members at heart. As they help other people recover from tragedy and improve their lives, they also think of ways to help themselves. They do this by organizing in-house trainings, forming a savings bank and sponsoring their children and husbands.
