Qualities Of A Christian Church Clayton NC

By Charles Patterson

It is vital that a temple acts as per the Bible commandments for it to be the one that does the will of God. The temple is not the erected building but the people who occupy the temple. This congregation should live according to the commandments that God ordained for the temple. The article that follows illustrates some of those features that a Christian church Clayton NC should have.

The word of God. The bible is the word of God that Christians are supposed to follow. It contains teachings and what a Christian should follow to become like Christ. Being followers of Christ, they should do as per the word. The Bible includes guidelines which one should seek its ways in case of a tempting state. They consult this holy book always to ensure they are doing as per it. When one does as God commands in the sacred book, it is believed that they will gain eternal life.

Praise and worship. This is given to the creator by the members of the temple and must truly come from deep down in the heart. The worshippers are required to confess their sins to ensure that they praise their creator sincerely. One is expected to have the passion and desire of worshipping and praising God.

The discipleship program. Jesus instructed his followers to make men His disciples. These are not only followers but those who are willing to carry their cross and follow Jesus. This was done through evangelism, which is spread of the gospel. The churches of today are supposed to make men followers of Christ just like the past disciples of Jesus.

Love for others. All Christians are required to love every other person the same way as they love themselves. You cannot love God if you do not love others. This is expressed through sharing your possessions as a Christian with others especially the needy ones. Jesus commanded his disciples to use their property to serve God. Praying and visiting the sick is also another way that a Christian expresses their love for others.

Offerings and tithes. Stewardship is also another principle for Christians. They are commanded to offer what they have to God as a sign of thanksgiving and praise to the living God. Every seventh day, every church member praises God by giving a tithe. A portion of a tenth of the total harvest is also to be given to God.

The seventh day of the week. This day is dedicated to the temple attendance. One of the ten commandments says that every Christian should commit a day of the week to serve God. They refrain from every work and go to their respective churches to worship and praise God.

Praying is also a requirement for Christians. Prayers are a channel through which a Christian communicates with God. Through this, they present their needs to Him, ask for the forgiveness of sin and for others too. Christians pray through Jesus Christ to God.
