6 Beliefs Of Churches That Observe The Sabbath Winnipeg

By Mark Thompson

Every religion has its own beliefs or strongholds that hold them together. There is a reason every church or religion believes what it believes. Without these beliefs or doctrines, religious groups would not be as strong as they are now. For instance, there are religious groups who go to church on Saturday as opposed to so many other groups who worship on Sunday. The people who worship on Saturday believe that that is the holy day that God set aside for worship. If you want to know more about Churches that Observe the Sabbath Winnipeg has, below are some of their beliefs.

Saturday is a day that most people continue with their daily work as usual. However, for the Sabbath keepers, this is a holy day that people should rest and pray. Most old and new versions of the Bible have even stated clearly that Saturday is the holy day of worshipping the Lord. On the contrary, Sunday, which most people observe as the sacred day symbolizes the first day of the week.

Another fundamental belief that makes Saturday a holy day is that this is the day that God rested and blessed after the long and tedious work of creation. Therefore, this day was instituted and blessed by God. God approved it to be the resting day after working for six days. Hence, all people should follow suit and rest on this day as the Almighty sanctified it.

Also, worshiping God on Saturday is a commandment from God Himself. Among the Ten Commandments, Saturday is the fourth one. Thus, people should obey God and rest on this day praying and worshiping Him. Therefore, believers of this faith ensure that they have finished all their work by the sixth day and rest on Saturday.

The fourth belief is that God affirmed Saturday as a creation ordinance. It was therefore intended to be beneficial to mankind. This means that the holy day was made for mankind and not humankind for it. Also, when Jesus was on earth, He affirmed that this day was a holy day that people should observe and worship God. For this reason, Saturday has always been perceived to be blessed.

Saturday also symbolizes the long-awaited rest by believers who believe that God will come a second time to save the world. Therefore, believers shall rejoice and feel no more pain, anguish, and suffering when Jesus returns to save them. Thus, Saturday symbolizes how people will rejoice, rest and worship the Lord after being rescued from the sins of the world.

The sixth principle or belief that most Christians hold on to is that Jesus also worshipped on the seventh day when He was on earth. Also, apostles like Paul followed the footsteps of Jesus and worshipped, prayed and preached the Gospel of God on this holy day.

Saturday, a day of rest to some believers, is a day that is supposed to be beneficial to humanity. This is because it is a day that people should rest. Rest is essential for the body and mind. Thus, when people rest and praise God, they will feel more energetic.
