Mistakes To Avoid In Spousal Sponsorship Brampton Application

By Amanda Robinson

If you have a partner that is not a citizen of Canada and you would like him/her to become a permanent resident, you must sponsor him/her. This is usually a tricky undertaking that requires one to know all the laws and requirements. If you want to make an application, make sure that you meet the relationship requirements. For example, the person you are sponsoring may be your conjugal partner, your spouse or common-law partner. Most people commit many mistakes when making this application. This makes the process to be delayed. The following are some of the common mistakes that people commit when making Spousal Sponsorship Brampton applications.

The first mistake you can commit is using the wrong version of the application forms. All the IRCCs application forms are available on the web. However, these forms are customarily updated regularly. They can even be updated several times in one year. Therefore, if you are not aware that the forms have been updated, you might use the old version. This can make your application to be denied.

Some people may get the correct form but commit mistakes when filling it. So many people usually make this mistake. This is because people do not ask for guidance before filling the applications. Whenever you want to make this kind of application, it is wise to ask a professional to guide you. With the right guidance, you will not fill the form incorrectly.

Some people have the tendency of leaving gaps in these application forms. This is usually not welcome by IRCC. Besides omitting critical information, the application will be suspicious. Thus, whenever you feel that a particular question does not apply to you, you should indicate that the question is not applicable to you. This way, you will not leave blank spaces on the application.

All fields usually have a specific language. IRCC also has its own terms that it uses. Some of the terms that are used can be confusing. Hence, applicants may also become confused. This makes applicants fill wrong forms if they are not aware of who should be the applicant and who the sponsor should be. In case the terms in the forms are confusing, seek help from the nearest IRCC office.

When making this application, there are many documents that you must have. These supporting documents are submitted with the application form. In case you have inadequate supporting documents, do not be surprised when your forms are returned to you. Therefore, always ensure that you provide all the documents required.

Applicants that are looking forward to becoming Canadian citizens must submit their fingerprints as well. Thus, IRCC must have the fingerprints of the applicants. When making your applications, ensure that your fingerprints have been correctly taken by RMCP or recognized agents. The police of your home country can also take the prints.

Usually, this kind of application requires the applicants to provide a medical examination that has been done by a qualified doctor. This is to make sure that they do not have dangerous diseases like TB that may be a threat to the public health of the new country.
