What You Need To Know About Feng Shui Bagua

By Richard Walker

Many traditional concepts and beliefs are being modernized and used in various areas of life. One such concept is an orthodox Chinese belief that the immediate surroundings and environment of man is connected to his ultimate destiny. This concept has been used in modern times for the purpose of designing home and office spaces. This is because it is said that if energy flow within your life and in your environment is balanced then health, wealth and numerous opportunities are invited to your home. In order for you to design a home or office space that is in connection to how you feel, it is suggested that Feng Shui Bagua is used.

A map is basically used as a representation of major landmarks and areas of a place. The bagua is the energy map that is a representation of the critical areas of life that are responsible for bringing happiness. There are eight areas making the map to be octagonal in shape with each side being a representation of specific areas in your life. This map analyses the connections of the house or office and connects them to the related areas of life in order to bring a balance.

The eight areas are characterized by symbols, elements, and colors which determine areas of the space that are connected to areas of your life. The first area is the health and family represented by brown and green colors and the element wood. Money and abundance are another areas whose color is green and element is also wood. Another important area is career and life journey which is characterized by water as the element and blue and black colors.

Another area defined is the creativity and children section which is usually represented by the colors silver, white and gold and white and metal element. This area also symbolizes joy. Inner knowledge and wisdom is also another area represented by the colors brown and yellow and earth as its element. For those looking to have a long successful marriage, they can use the colors yellow and brown which represents love and marriage.

The desire for wisdom and inner knowledge is also one of the eight sections. It is illustrated using brown and yellow colors and the earth as the element. Finally, the eighth area is creativity and children. This area is characterized by the metal element and is assigned silver, gold and white colors.

It is important to understand the symbolism of these colors and element so as to ensure the decor in a given specific area matches the unique sectors. The energy map is superimposed on scaled -to- size the layout of your home plans. The south area is placed at the top of the layout. It is used together with a feng shui compass that allows pinpointing of the eight areas.

There some area that may be missing in the bagua map. These areas have weak energy and require to be cured using the feng shui principles in order to maintain the balance. You can apply the use of elements and colors mentioned to improve the energy balance.

There are no scientific proofs to the effectiveness of using this energy map in decorating any home or office space but there are people who believe that this connection to their surrounding has greatly aided in improving their general well-being.
