Divorce cases in the state of Oklahoma are increasing rapidly. This is why OK Divorce records are one of the most accessed documents that the state provides to its people. The divorce certificate is considered as a public document since the Freedom of Information Act was in place.

The residents of Oklahoma request for a copy of a divorce certificate for a number of reasons. The divorce certificates in Oklahoma are not available at the Vital Records Section. It can only be obtained at the county clerk office where the divorce was registered. Fees have to be paid but it would depend on the county where it was filed. The fee is not more than $20. The one who requested the document has to fill out an application form and indicate the basic details of the record being requested. The personal information of the one who requested the document should also be indicated on the document. The document is only given if the one who filed the request is the divorcee or their immediate family. The request can be done in just an hour but this is true only if the search goes smooth, if not it can take days.
