Activities Carried Out In The United Church Of Christ Tempe AZ

By Joyce Bailey

The Christian church refers to groups of people who come together to share the same doctrine or practice. It was formed after the coming together of the disciples of Jesus Christ when He gave them the mandate to spread the good news. This doctrine refers to the beliefs of the people, their norms, values, principles, and in general, how they intend to carry out the many activities or programs in the church. These programs in the United Church of Christ Tempe AZ have been outlined.

For instance, the children have special places where they meet on Sundays to worship God. During this period, they are groomed on how to be responsible citizens in their environment and the society at large. They are also taught the word of God that will increase their spiritual growth and maturation as Christians. The leaders teach them how to be obedient children during the Bible studies on Sundays. Other weekly activities are held to encourage them to engage in mutual prayers, praises, and worships.

Just like the children, the youths also have their special classes and place of worship. Issues discussed in these classes are related to their development into adulthood and most of them include issues on health, career seminars, skills and vocational training, leadership programs and academic counseling. The leaders among them also fix executive meetings where they discuss different views and opinions on how the church will continue to grow spiritually and more effectively.

The elders make up the deacons and deaconesses in the church. These authorities preach the word of God to the members of the congregation, strictly emphasizing on the reasons to be faithful tithers, seed sowers, and sacrificial givers. According to these authorities, believers who honor God with their possessions and abundance attract God's blessings and favor upon their lives.

Believers are also advised to practice godly lives if they must overcome the vices of the enemy. They are also warned against engaging in immoral acts and ungodly living. Examples of these immoral acts include adultery, fornication, lust and many others.

The believers are advised to participate actively in the church. The children, youth and the elderly can voluntarily participate in any group of their choice. These groups include the choir, the drama theater, evangelism and gospel outreach, and the prayer group.

While the prayer warriors fight against the principalities and powers, the evangelists are responsible for spreading the gospel to other villages. They can achieve this purpose by setting up crusades in their environment and prophetic ministrations. The choir members are glorious singers of melodies and praises, while the drama section comprises those who change people's lives using demonstrations on the stage.

Obedient and dedicated worshipers are assured of success and prosperity. Active participation by the children can attract many favors and blessings from the leaders of the church. Eternal reward is also assured to every true believer after death or rapture.
