The Finer Points Of EQI 20 Certification

Anger. Anguish. Pain. Love. All emotions. All a central part of the human experience. The feelings that people feel are what make life worth living, what makes it go from mere existence to something joyous and worth the time. Now, there are ways to measure how good someone is with emotions, and that would with EQI 20 certification.

IQ means intelligence quotient. It means how competently a brain can process information. EQI means the emotional intelligence quotient. This relates to how competently an individual can process emotional data, not just their own, but the feelings of others as well. As such, this requires a degree of empathy, or at least cognitive empathy, which is not the ability to feel what another feels, but merely to recognize specific emotions.

Now, some individuals who live within society like to proclaim as loudly as possible that emotions are not needed, that they cloud rational judgment. But that would ignore the fact that emotional responses are absolutely needed in order to insure the continued survival of the species as a whole. Look at parents and babies. Babies are loud, they stink and they cry constantly. No one in their right mind would ever want to raise one. Sure, some couples like the idea of one, but then the reality of it will hit them as soon as they take it home and it wakes them up in the middle of the night. If it were not for the emotional bond a parents forms with their offspring, most babies would probably end up abandoned, because no sane person would ever want to deal with that hassle. So the people who say feelings make people stupid are right, but they are wrong about how unnecessary they are.

The first part of the EQI is the intrapersonal. This is all about the inner self. This covers things like how well a person may understand the emotion they are feeling at a given moment. This also deal with how well a person may regard themselves, how much they care about their own wellbeing.

Then there is the interpersonal part. This is all about interacting with others. It is often said that no man is an island, and the fact that humans are social creatures is proof enough of that. Look at society. Everyone works with others to make things function properly, like a body.

Then there is the part that deals with stress management. First of all, it needs to be said that life is almost never smooth. Things can get rough. But there are ways to deal with things that can eat away at a mind, at happiness, and at the soul in general.

The next is adaptability. Life rarely goes smoothly, and a person may have to adapt to these bumps in the road. This aspects test how well someone can deal with difficulty. No one ever said living was easy.

Now comes the part about general mood. This covers this like optimism. This asks the question as to how bright the outlook of a person is. This also extends to how happy somebody is in general.

The world is not a happy place. But it is not a sad place either. It is somewhere in the middle, much like how most individuals feel on a daily basis. Of course, there is no way to really measure feelings.
