Key Doctrines Of Catholic Church Westend Cincinnati

By George Bennett

The Roman Catholic Church faithfuls have some guiding principles that they live by in their lives. Knowing about these laws is vital in ensuring that they do not live otherwise. This article will give an in depth explanation of some key principles of Catholic Church Westend Cincinnati.

There is a guiding principle that all Sunday masses should be attended by Christians together with the holy days. The days that are described as holy include the day of assumption, all saints day, ascension Thursday and Christmas day. It is therefore important to have a calendar so that one does not forget to attend mass. These masses are usually at different timings making it important to confirm on the appropriate timings as well.

Confession is a process that Christians should make sure that they attend. This process usually takes place between the priest and the believer and after it is complete, the faithful is forgiven all sins. There are usually days set aside for confession mostly over the weekends. Sometimes priests may decide to have confession in between the week a few minutes before the holy mass.

There is a doctrine that stipulates that the sacrament should be received by Christians at least one time in a year during Easter. This period of Easter runs from the very first day in the Lenten period and the day of the descent of the Holy spirit. Once in a year is not cast on stone as believers can receive the Holy Communion as many times as they can during this period as long as they are well prepared.

It is important for believers to fast during the period of lent. Christians should take one main meal accompanied with two smaller meals. Ideally, reducing the quantity of food is important for the sake of giving it to the poor. Those that can fast the whole day are also allowed to do so and engage in charitable activities such as paying the sick a visit. Helping the needy is also a charitable activity that should get considered during this period.

Christians should commit themselves in helping the sanctuary meet its needs. There are key people in these sacred places that help in ensuring that all divine activities such as the holy masses run effectively. These individuals should be helped in meeting their daily needs as they do not engage themselves in any businesses, Christians should come in to assist through offerings, tithes of every personal donation. This will assist them in running the church as expected.

The marriage laws should be followed to the latter. In instances where a believer is married to a non- catholic, this doctrine should also apply. Some marriage teachings include bringing up kids in the recommended way. A faithful should therefore not deviate from any teachings that are within the marriage laws. Getting the right guidance is vital so that the right practices are followed.

The above mentioned laws are vital in the life of believers. Following them to the latter is a necessity to all the faithfuls. It ensures that they get blessings from God and at the end inherit the kingdom of God. Since the knowledge of God is the beginning of wisdom, believers thus overcome challenges.
