How Grease Removal Can Be Effected On Fabric

By Gwen Lowe

Handling this kind of stain may not be easy especially if you are not sure of what to do as regards to these stains. If compared to some of the common stains, it is realized that grease removal is challenging. This is the reason why some people may decide to through away their stained fabric. You can use various household products to help you out of this stain mess.

One of the tips for successful cleaning of such stain is to treat it as soon as you get the stain. This would prevent further absorption and result to faster cleaning. In case you leave it to penetrate further, then you may not be able to successfully achieve what you wanted.

Using the stain cleaning dish soap, squeeze some amount to cover the stain. Putting it directly to the stain will improve your chances of clearing the stain off. Smear the layer so that it is evenly distributed to the effected parts of the fabric. You may also opt to just saturate the fabric with lubricating spray. This ensures evenly spraying and can save you some time as well.

Rubbing it ensures neutralization of the stain. Ensure that the foam is left for some minutes on the fabric so as to make sure that it penetrates as desired. After this, the fabric should be soaked in some warm water for up to thirty minutes. Deeply immerse the fabric to ensure that there is no part left out of water.

To make sure your fabric stays durable even after these wash ups, you should apply any pre-treatment products to it. This will also make it retain its original colour. After this, carry out your washing the normal way then dry up the fabric. Adding ammonia is necessary during the washing to brighten up the fabric and confirm that it is free of stains.

If you examine your fabric, you will be able to know which particular places have stains damaged so that you start dealing with them. Try and take off any stains puddle by the help of a spoon before you start the cleaning process. Using sharp objects like a knife may result to you damaging your fabric.

Testing these products is highly recommended before using them. Just apply it to a small portion of your fabric and see to it how it works, before using it in the entire stained part. If it is okay, then carry on with the entire stain. This is because it is not easy to know how a certain fabric will react with a give product especially if you have never used it before.

You should also make sure that you thoroughly check your fabric after washing to ascertain that it is in good order. This is to help you deal with any remaining stain before taking the fabric to the dryer. Since heat has to be generated from the dryer, it may set the stain more and spread to other areas. To such an extent the whole process may not be friendly if you have to repeat it again.
