Belief That Muslim Antichrist Is The Expected Messiah

By Marci Glover

Islamic religion has increased rapidly in the world. The question whether the next Antichrist will arise from the Muslim community has been subject to great speculation and debate. The expected Muslim Antichrist has become a subject among leaders of different religions and believers. Islamic is the second largest religion after Christianity.

Literature materials by various authors like Joel Richardson have indicated in their writings that it is true the figure will rise from Islamic religion. However there are literary materials that opposite the idea and strongly hold to the biblical interpretation that the figure will come from the west. Many are not inclined to any of these beliefs hence remain with many answered questions.

Efforts to evidence some of the beliefs have necessitated a lot of research on happenings in western world. Various leadership regimes over the last few years have been evicted from power in the Islamic countries of Middle East. Colonel is among the leaders who were removed form leadership. He was toppled from power after ruling for over thirty years. Similar situations were witnessed in Egypt, Syria and Tunisia where powerful leaders that had to leave leadership by force after many years of authoritative leadership.

Islamic Brotherhood has largely been associated with the revolts . The movement has been witnessed taking advantage of various volatile situations in those countries with an aim of proclaiming itself the Arab leadership. The sole aim for the movement is to ensure an international caliphate which is supposed to usher in a centralized Islamic rule. The anticipation of the movement is that it will gain a lot of wealth and power which will help be at a better position to achieve their dream of spreading their religion to Asia, Africa and Europe.

It is clear that once the movement destroys Israel and United States it will have stepped closer to the great revolution that will seem the entire world turn to Islam under the leadership of their messiah (Mahdi). This is the sole aim of the movement.

There is conflict of beliefs among the Islamic religion. The Sunnis, a major faction of Islam, are of the view that their messiah will be a product of an election by representatives of Islamic governments. The Shiites however believe that Mahdi will be a descendant of Allah, a supernatural being, who will show up form some place he has resided for centuries.

Many Christians have conceded to the belief that Mahdi will fulfill what is contained in the bible about the coming of an Antichrist. Muslims have fostered the belief by being vocal about it. Many in the western societies have started to believe this, and so have Christians. They take that this supernatural being is the one talked about in the bible that will come and deceive the Jewish people he is the true messiah that the Christian community has long awaited.

The quick growth of Islamic religion has become alarming. Today the religion is found in America and Europe among the regions. The movement is spreading at a high rate and members are becoming more united. The leaders of the religion have interpreted it as the beginning of grand caliphate. Its leadership has never denied the allegation which is a major factor that has made many believe Antichrist will emerge from the religion.
