WWJD, Overcoming The Overbearing Emotions Thinking What Would Jesus Do?

Dealing with emotions is never easy. They can take over certain aspects of your life. And even though you may feel that everything is fine, you may have unknowingly said or done something that was uncalled for. This is why it is best to try and keep feelings away, consider using the wwjd idea, what would Jesus do? That may result in something new for you.

One of the biggest mistakes that people make is that they react immediately. It is best to take a minute to analyze the situation so that you can figure out whether it actually affects you. Sometimes when you react to something immediately, it could trigger feelings from something else without you even being aware and it may come across as though the current situation made you react. This could result in you having regrets later on.

Sometimes the best way to get over a certain feeling is to speak to someone. When you let out how you feel, it becomes a huge relief and you will automatically feel better. Also, try to speak to someone who probably wasn t at the confrontation at the time. This would mean that they can give you a useful opinion from an outside perspective that could be useful to you. You may even choose to use the advice.

Every day there will be incidents that will make us feel bitter about another person or situation. When in this state of mind, try to learn the art of acceptance. It will work in your best interest if you are not upset all the time. Making a habit out of feeling adverse can result in you being a less desirable person. As a human being, you need to say and think good to feel good.

The one mistake that people make is that they are quick to block out something bad that has happened. Forgetting is not a bad thing but before you forget it, you need to make sure that you have acknowledged what happened and accepted it within yourself.

Whilst in anger, you may slip up and share details of certain things that can affect friendships and relationships with loved ones. You may also be quick to play the blame game because of all the adrenaline that is pumping through your body. Don t lose people that are close to you because of how you felt in one moment. Try to control the words that come out of your mouth.

A good way to burn off the feeling of being upset or angry is to exercise. There are many people who use this technique. They rather walk away from a confrontation and take out their anger on a punching bag. This way, they are still releasing how they feel instead of holding it in. There are also other options if you can t seem to get in control by yourself such as anger management classes where they teach you these tricks.

You cannot escape the claws of reaction and outbursts. However, there are ways that you can calm yourself down and rather react a bit better compared to how you normally would.
