Making Art With Rock Carving

By Rachael Gutierrez

You have the love for art and you want to create your masterpiece out of the single rock that you have seen ashore. You want to chisel it and transform it to the subject of your imagination. But you do not know how to start the process except by imagining. In this case, you just happened to be at the right place that will give you tips all the way from rock carving Alberta.

The design should be the first consideration that you must have. This could be anything that your imagination popped in your mind. This could also be seen or came up with after you have seen a rock. It will depend on the structure that you have seen. Better yet, you can have it molded to the clay first and then the details will soon be worked on with.

After that, you can also look and search for the rock that you will carve later on. This is another factor that shall be considered for the art piece. This should be the kind of stone that is suitable in carving. There are a lot of their types and you have to make sure the rock is right for you.

And since you can no carve the rocks by your own two hands, you need the tool to be used as soon as the process already started. This involves the driller, the sandpaper, the smaller grinder, the chisel, the pitching tool, the tracing tool, and the hammer. You can borrow them from your friends too.

And by the way, this is going to be a dangerous job since you will be dealing with the sharp edge tools. In this case, you should keep the appropriate tools in your hands. Or you will find your hands tainted with blood as soon as you finished the work of art made through stone.

While you are working you have to be focused on your goal. That is, to either create an image of someone or something. Without it, then there is that ambiguous possibility that you will come up with the desired result of yours. You can do this on either the flat surface or three d.

Take consideration of the grain in your rock. This should never break off or everything that you have invested your time and your effort will be gone with the wind. To avoid that from happening, you can design your sculpture through following the entire length of the grain. Sketch out your design on a flat surface for relief.

Also, you may have to research on the proper tools that will be used as soon as the carving process takes place. It is important that you know the dos and don'ts of the tools so that you will keep the sculpture safe. Or you will find yourself redoing the process for the nth time.

And the last step of the procedure is the polishing of the rock carving Alberta. This polishing is very important because it will bring the awesome and the amazing patterns and also the colors of the rock that was carved. You can use the silicon carbide or the dry sandpaper for this
