The religion is one that has used belief and ideas from different deities that are more solid and ancient and have a well-defined foundation. Hinduism and Buddhism stand center of this belief and the philosophies western religion are also widely used. This religion claims that human beings are thetans, immortal beings who have forgotten their true nature and the controversies go on and on.
Despite all these influences, the founder claims that the church is no different from the faith held in Christianity. This means that it is just a game of projection that thetans create in an attempt to escape boredom. For this reason, the universe is a result of manipulation by creative man or thetan.
Salvation in this religion is seen as a brainwash that has condemned the man to live into a state of slavery with the promise of heaven. Space age spirituality strives to free man from this bondage with techniques which others term as mind control. These techniques are meant to free man from his slavery and help him reach his true divine self.
Then comes death which the church explains as a reward for the thetan has now being freed from the confinement that was the body and can now reach his true self. It also terms death to be irrelevant at times as it is just another repetition of what has already happened many times before.
The last venture is that of the occult that mainly involves there being the use of psychic powers to help the thetan open a door into another universe. In simpler terms, some just call the experience as one that uses black magic and it is why most conflict the religion.
