FBI Books Offer Excitement And Wisdom

By Nelda Powers

When you hear the phrase, "FBI books", you may not necessarily think of fiction right away. The fact is that there is much more fiction available on the topic than there is nonfiction. The popularity of crime/thriller novels is not rivaled by many other subjects. The classic theme of "good guy vs. Bad guy" will never lose popularity.

With the introduction of the E-book, on electronic media devices like a computer or a tablet, there has been a decline in the amount of ones that are published, but there is a small contingent of readers that still like the feel of turning a page or the smell of a book. Nothing will ever replace libraries as repositories of knowledge because they are a place that holds much information. Since the advent of the written language, they have been the best way to preserve and share knowledge.

The motivations for a serial killer can run a huge spectrum. Some suffered horribly at the hands of parents, relatives or other guardians as children and never got over it. Others simply had a disconnected sense of emotion. They were, quite frankly put, born that way. Obsessions and infatuations in these people take on a decidedly unhealthy tone that can result in multiple deaths.

Nonfiction is the writing of things that are not fictional, or not made up. They can contain anything from mathematical theories and wartime histories and more. They are normally kept in their own place in a library or collection and can impart lots of wisdom and knowledge. There are ways to categorize them so that they can be organized in an easy to use fashion.

On the other hand, bad guys have more complicated stories more often than not. They are also haunted by something from the past but rather than channel their use of it into being a force for good, they allow it to control them and send them down a dark path of crime. As the foil to the protagonist, they are often cruel, cold and methodical, whether they are a foreign dictator or a domestic serial killer.

The authorities have made many inferences based on both the well-known and less well-known serial killers from the past and have even developed ways of profiling them. They have entire departments that are dedicated to stopping them before they can increase their body count. This sort of proactive enforcement is the only way to effectively combat them.

A library is a collection that is normally made available to the public. There are private libraries but they often don't get noticed as often because they aren't normally made available. Libraries can be massive and contain thousands or even millions of reading materials. Library science is a difficult degree to earn and is for only the people who sincerely want to be surrounded by and work with them.

Serial killers inhabit a niche in the human world that is very dark and evil. The authorities can combat it as well as they can but they will never be able to completely stop the phenomenon as it isn't really known what causes it in the first place. There are many reasons that someone might turn to this but none are appealing. The public's consumption of FBI books and crime dramas might only serve to encourage this behavior.
