Helpful Hints For Cleaning Pandora Bracelets

By Thelma Kent

Cleaning Pandora bracelets properly will help you keep yours looking beautiful. Many of these are made from sterling silver which will tarnish. This will require a bit of effort in order to remove this normal, though unsightly discoloration. Charms may also become dirty and need to be spruced up from time to time. If you take care of these items as soon as you notice tarnish or dirt, it will be easier.

Use plain water, mild dish soap, a soft toothbrush and a soft cloth to clean silver chains and charms. Use the toothbrush to gently scrub the items. Rinse with clean water, then dry and polish with the cloth. If your items are heavily tarnished use silver polish or silver cloths.

Silver polish. This is specifically made to clean silver. It generally comes with a sponge applicator that you will use to apply the polish. Work it in gently and then rinse with clean water. Dry the bracelet with a soft cloth.

Use a bowl to clean your jewelry. This is safer than filling the sink with water. You may accidentally drop something down the drain if you work in the sink. You might also break a charm if it were to fall and hit the hard counter top tile or sink material.

Wipe charms. Take charms one at a time and wipe them with a damp cloth that will not leave scratches. Dry each charm immediately. Charms should not be submersed in water. Be careful about keeping chemicals such as those in silver polish away from the charms as it can cause damage to them.

As you can see cleaning pandora bracelets is an easy task. Just remember to use care and to be gentle. Your bracelet and charms will remain beautiful with just a small amount of effort on your part.
